Caring for your hemp shirt is simple and helps maintain its quality over time. We recommend washing it on a gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent. After washing, hang your shirt to dry and shape it well to minimize wrinkles, which will make ironing or steaming easier if you choose to do so.
You may notice that after hang drying, the fabric feels stiff, similar to a pair of jeans. This is a natural characteristic of hemp, and the fabric will soften with each wash. To restore its original softness, we recommend turning the shirt inside out and placing it in the dryer on the 'cold air' setting for a short period. This will bring back the softness you experienced when you first bought the shirt, without compromising its durability.
Avoid using bleach and tumble drying on high heat, as these can weaken the natural fibers. For more detailed care instructions, check the label on your shirt or visit our Care Instructions page.
